There Is No Universal Threshold for Seeking Help

Many people hesitate to seek mental health support because they fear they are not “unwell enough.” This misconception remains one of the main barriers to accessing psychological and psychiatric care.
The reality is simple: there is no universal threshold that justifies a consultation. Psychological distress cannot be measured by its apparent intensity or by comparison with others. What truly matters is its impact on daily life, well-being, and overall functioning.
Difficulties with concentration, loss of interest, persistent stress, mental overload, or a general sense of discomfort can be sufficient reasons to seek professional support. Waiting for the situation to worsen is neither necessary nor beneficial.
Seeking help at an early stage often allows for a better understanding of what is being experienced, helps avoid long-term patterns from settling in, and provides appropriate guidance. In many cases, early intervention is shorter, more focused, and more effective.
At Cabinet Vade, we welcome every patient without judgment, regardless of the reason for consultation. Listening, clinical assessment, and tailored care are at the heart of our approach.
Taking care of your mental health is not an emergency reaction.
It is an act of self-respect.
Your health is our priority. — The Cabinet Vade team
