Dr. Oualid Chelghoum
Psychiatrist
Dr. Oualid Chelghoum is an experienced psychiatrist, recognised for his commitment to the care of patients with complex psychiatric conditions, particularly in the fields of autism, intellectual disabilities, and geriatric psychiatry.
With more than ten years of hospital-based experience, he is known for a medical approach that is rigorous, empathetic, and strongly interdisciplinary.
Before joining Cabinet Vade, he worked at Le Vinatier University Hospital in Lyon, within the ADIS academic hospital unit dedicated to autism and intellectual disabilities. There, he conducted specialised consultations for challenging behaviours and complex neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), while also participating in national multidisciplinary case review meetings (RCPs).
He has lectured in academic settings on ageing in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, served as a moderator at the 15th French Congress of Psychiatry, and contributed to several national working groups focused on the use of melatonin and third-line treatment strategies.
