Dr. Hélène Hitabatuma

Dr. Hélène Hitabatuma is a psychiatrist graduated from the University of Liège.
With nearly twenty years of clinical experience, she has worked at the Liège University Hospital (CHU de Liège) as Associate Head of Clinic and later as Head of Clinic in psychiatry. Her career combines solid hospital, academic, and outpatient experience, as well as teaching and supervision of doctors in training.
Dr. Hitabatuma has developed particular expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorders, stress, and ADHD in adults. Committed to providing personalized care for each patient, she has furthered her training in psychotherapy, Ericksonian hypnosis, and brief strategic therapy.
A former trainer at the Milton Erickson Institute of Liège, she incorporates therapeutic hypnosis into her clinical practice when appropriate. This approach helps mobilize patients’ own resources and supports change while respecting their pace and goals.
Dr. Hitabatuma adopts a comprehensive, scientific, and human approach to mental health. She places particular emphasis on diagnostic assessment and individualized treatment of attention deficit disorders, with or without hyperactivity (ADHD) in adults, as well as on supporting individuals dealing with anxiety and chronic stress.
Her approach is based on listening, empathy, and therapeutic collaboration, with the aim of helping each patient regain lasting balance and an improved quality of life.
